- Please note these are activities that helped me deal with the dark and harder days. Everyone has to search which ones bring you peace. They are by no means ‘quick fixes’. They are activities that help distract, calm or ease the discomfort. Others include traveling (although that can also add stress), coloring, listening to music (preferably calm and without lyrics), watching light TV shows or movies (sometimes even Disney can be harsh when I wasn’t feeling well), lighting a candle, and cooking comfort foods.
